Healthy Holiday Appetizers and a QUICK Workout

Holiday parties, treats at the office, cookie exchanges…

It’s a challenging time of year to maintain healthy eating habits!  Here are some fun and healthy ideas to help balance out the less healthier  but favorite holiday treats!

cf2f7ec9aaa8d004694f04099d98c043Use carrots for the stem also!  I like to blanche the broccoli and carrots  for better flavor and brighter color! For dip, use a Greek Yogurt Vegetable Dip!

How cute are these?! To keep the bananas from turning brown, coat lightly with fruit juice. Lemon, orange or lime juice works well!

Kiwi’s are packed full of fiber, Vitamin C and potassium!

 

 

With all the parties, extra calories, maybe some added stress, it’s imperative that you get your workouts in, but it’s a busy time of year and difficult to sometimes find the time!  

Keep in mind that ANY amount of exercise is better than none so here’s a QUICK workoutyou can do at home in as little as 10 minutes or less!

  • Quads
  • Upper Body
  • Inchworm
  • Core
  • Knee/Twist

If you have the time, repeat the circuit for more intensity and higher calorie burn.  Take a little time for YOU!    Happy Holidays everyone!
